Join UCL for a comprehensive three-day course on dialysis and end-stage renal failure, organized by the UCL Department of Renal Medicine.

  • Personal history of dialysis

Day Two:

  • Technical aspects of dialysis
  • Dialysis adequacy and volume management
  • Challenging dialysis scenarios
  • Practical haemodialysis prescribing
  • Complications of dialysis
  • Renal replacement therapy in acute kidney injury

Day Three:

  • Basics and access in PD (Peritoneal Dialysis)
  • Fluid management and complications in PD
  • Managing chronic kidney failure symptoms
  • Surgery in encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis
  • Dialysis in older people
  • Mini debate on PD as a short-term treatment option

Teaching and Structure:

  • Attend one, two, or all three days.
  • Interactive sessions with opportunities to ask questions and discuss clinical cases.

Certificates and Accreditation:

  • CPD credit to be confirmed by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).
