The UK Kidney Association is the leading professional body for the UK kidney community.

With more than 2,000 members, we bring together professionals from across the kidney community to advance kidney care, research, education and quality improvement.

As a membership organisation, we support professional development, collaboration and leadership while helping to shape policy, services and research that improve outcomes for people living with kidney disease.

We support the professional kidney workforce through education, events, research, clinical guidelines, quality improvement initiatives and networks. Our members contribute to committees, special interest groups and professional groups that help shape and share best practice across the UK. We also bring the wider community together through UK Kidney Week, the UK’s largest kidney conference.

The UKKA is also home to nationally recognised resources and programmes that support kidney care and research. These include the UK Renal Registry (UKRR), which provides data, analysis and research to drive improvements in care and outcomes, the National Registry of Rare Kidney Diseases (RaDaR) and the Kidney Quality Improvement Partnership (KQIP).
