COVID-19 Update October 2022

A new set of recommendations from the UKKA COVID-19 group is now available.

Including information on:

  • Antibody testing
  • Prophylactic antibodies
  • COVID-19 testing
  • Continued availability of sotrovimab
  • Autumn booster vaccine programme

Many of these recommendations are already delivered in some renal services. However, there is still inequality in access to testing, vaccination, and treatment for patients with kidney disease in the UK.

These recommendations are developed in order to support services and the system and to help deliver care for patients with kidney disease through a period of ongoing risk and anxiety for many patients with kidney disease.

The Kidney Charities Together group have also produced a poster and booster vaccine guide to encourage kidney patients to have their COVID booster vaccination. Please download and share with your patients and team.
