UK-diagnostic Interventional Nephrology (UKDIN) special interest group

An exciting opportunity has arisen with the set up of a new UKKA Special Interest Group (SIG) in Interventional Nephrology (IN).

Dr Saeed Ahmed and fellow co-chair staff nurse Sweeney and Allan, are looking for expressions of interest to join this group from the multi-professional team. This group will be reviewing and supporting the multi-professional team training and set-up of interventional nephrology services across the UK. Patients, renal trainees and nursing colleagues are encouraged to join this group.

On the back of the first-ever successful Interventional Nephrology workshop at UK Kidney Week 2022 reporting unmet needs for training in IN, we feel that there is national interest and momentum to launch and sustain a group to help embed Interventional Nephrology into the fabric of UK nephrology.

We hope to collaborate with the European Renal association via the N-PATH (Nephrology Partnership Advancing Technology in Healthcare) programme and other key stakeholders such as VASBI, ASDIN.

Expression of interest to join UKDIN should be submitted on one side of A4 detailing your interest in Interventional Nephrology to renal@renal.org
