Immunosuppression in Paediatric Recipients

For the next TLC symposium (starting at the earlier time of 12:30PM BST) we will be joined by Dr Amrit Kaur, Dr Mohan Shenoy and Clinical Nurse Specialist Liz Edwards for a practical overview of immunosuppression in paediatric kidney transplantation.

As well as providing information on the general guidance that is available, the speakers will also:

• Explain the protocols for immunosuppression in paediatric kidney transplantation, and how decisions are made for each protocol

• Discuss the monitoring of immunosuppression

• Explain how children can be educated, supported and empowered towards a positive experience and outcome

• Explain the side effects of I/S in children, and how these are managed, with particular emphasis on viral infections

• Review other long term complications and how these can be mitigated and managed

• Briefly share potential I/S options for the future

There will be an opportunity for the audience to submit questions during the event.

The zoom link to join the symposium will be sent to you on the day of the event.

Please note, although there is no CPD point available for this session we will be able to issue Certificates of Attendance.
