The kidney community is full of exceptional people who make a difference for people with kidney disease. Know or work with one of them? Nominate them for an award!

Please submit a nomination statement of 100 words to ukka@ukkidney.org by Monday 27 January 2025. The statement will cover:

  • the topic area and lecturer
  • why the lecturer is authoritative on the topic
  • the qualities the lecturer has and why you think they deserve to be celebrated

Lectures:

Chandos Lecture and Osman Lecture

  • Open to all UKKA members, lectures can be given on any subject.

De Wardener Lecture

  • Open to all UKKA members, chosen lecturers have a distinguished record in clinical research related to kidney disease.

Donna Lamping MDT Researcher Award

  • Open to all MPT UKKA members who have contributed to outstanding research in kidney care.

Lifetime Achievement Award

  • Open to UKKA members who have left an indelible mark on the kidney community through their remarkable contributions to academic medicine, clinical care, education, and leadership.

O'Donoghue Lecture

  • Open to all UKKA members and can cover topics relating to renal healthcare policy, training, or workforce planning.

Stewart Cameron Lecture

  • Open to UKKA members who are non-clinical basic scientists, whose work has contributed significantly to kidney disease research.
