7th Joint Meeting of ABCD & UKKA 2025

The past few years have seen advances in research that impact people with diabetes and kidney disease. This biennial meeting is for healthcare professionals involved in the care of people with diabetic kidney disease (DKD).

This 2025 programme includes the following topics: Diabetes and CKD in pregnancy, obesity related CKD and the role of GLP-1 agonists, DKA and diabetes emergency in diabetic kidney disease, post-transplant diabetes and clinical challenges, guidelines on the management of diabetes in end stage kidney disease and dialysis and technologies available to people with diabetes.

We will bring together renowned leaders in the field of diabetes-related kidney disease to discuss current challenges, potential areas of intervention and new therapeutic opportunities. There is real recognition now of the need to work as multidisciplinary and multi-professional teams to support people with multiple long-term conditions. The focus of this meeting is education and collaboration. The sessions will be focused and pragmatic to enable all of us to better care for people with diabetic kidney disease.
