We are recruiting!

The KQuIP Paediatric team are looking to set up a paediatric dialysis network, inclusive of haemodialysis, home haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

The network will work together on quality improvement initiatives, as well as provide a community of multi-professionals who can share knowledge, develop training and education, work on standardising care, collect and use intelligent data and pool resources.

The network will work to the KQuIP paediatric principles set at the beginning of the programme which are:

  • Building effective teams
  • Working collaboratively
  • Establishing patient/family co-partnerships
  • Developing learning communities, growing from the collective successes and failures
  • Adopting Quality Improvement methodology to deliver our desired outcomes

The proposed network structure below includes a steering group (feeding into the BAPN) and three operational sub-groups led by two co-chairs (medical and non-medical) each. There will be a three yearly tenure for co-chairs.

Filled positions

Steering group co-chairs: Daljit Hothi, Kamal Dhesi

Home haemodialysis op. group co-chairs: Tash Baugh and Amanda Newnham

Haemodialysis op. group non-medical chair: Lynsey Stronach

Available positions:

Peritoneal dialysis co-chairs x 2 (medical and non-medical)

Haemodialysis co-chair x 1 (Medical only)

  • Operational group co-chairs would be expected to:
  • Facilitate the direction and agreement of priorities by the operational group
  • Ensure senior buy-in
  • Encourage engagement from across the specialty work-force
  • Lead events
  • Offer guidance to group members
  • Work with KQuIP PM, operational group members and steering group co-chairs to deliver the network agenda
  • Explore future funding

We welcome nominations as well as volunteers to step forward to support the leadership of this community – in particular the peritoneal dialysis co-chairs, and haemodialysis medical co-chair.

Please send any expressions of interest to kquip@renalregsitry.nhs.uk by 20th November 2020.
